Changing career from aspiring journalist to communications professional aged 19, Matthew was determined to make a name for himself without a degree. He progressed quickly from intern to account manager and when the Covid pandemic struck, he led the PR strategy for Visit Portugal.

Last year Matthew generated more than 400 pieces of top-tier coverage, helped to win the Fairmont St Andrews account and led the media promotion of a 10-part ITV series on Dubai’s Gastronomy with Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton.

Nominating Matthew, Finn Partners’ Laurel Waldron, says: “Matt has a special ability to find stories where there aren’t any. He is developing a reputation as a leader of the future already and would be a great asset to the 2024/25 cohort.”
