Thank you for your interest in entering The Travel Industry Awards 2024 by TTG. If you can’t find the answer you need below, please get in touch via email and we will be able to help:

Who can enter?

The Travel Industry Awards by TTG celebrates businesses and individuals from across the travel and tourism sector. The awards recognise travel agents, tour operators, cruise lines, airlines, hotel and resort operators, holiday essentials providers, travel technology providers, PR and representation companies and tourist boards – as well as special accolades including The John Hays Entrepreneur of the Year Award, The Travel Legend Award and The Diversity Trailblazer Award.

Your brand does not need to sell through travel agents in order to enter some categories. Please check the category criteria before entering.

How much does it cost to enter?

For paid categories (Supplier and Fairer Travel), enter by Friday 5 April to secure the early bird rate of £279 + VAT. Entries made after 5 April will cost £329 + VAT.

The following categories are free to enter:

  • Agents’ Choice (Small and Large)
  • All Travel Agent categories
  • All individual Fairer Travel categories (opening in June)

When are the deadlines for submitting entries?

All entries (not including individual Fairer Travel categories) close on Friday 17 May.

Entries made after this date will incur a £50 late fee – the final deadline is Friday 24 May.

When will shortlists be announced?

Shortlists for Agent-Judged Supplier categories, Expert-Judged Supplier categories, Travel Agent categories and Fairer Travel categories will be announced w/c 10 June.

Shortlists for the individual Fairer Travel categories will be announced in August.

How will the awards be judged?

The Travel Industry Awards by TTG uses a mixture of judging methods to select shortlists and winners – including travel agent ratings, agent and expert judging panels and shortlisting by senior TTG editors.

Agent-Judged Supplier categories:

A panel of TTG's editors will shortlist the submissions. The names of shortlisted suppliers will then be put out to TTG's travel agent audience who will rate the suppliers they've worked with recently according to product and service. This rating score is then shared with a judging panel of senior travel agency leaders and used as a guide for assessing the submissions and deciding a winner. Shortlisted suppliers in certain categories will be invited to attend a short Zoom interview with our judging panels w/c 15 July. This excludes the Agents’ Choice Large and Small categories which will be based solely on agent ratings.

Expert-Judged Supplier categories:

A panel of TTG's editors will shortlist the submissions. A judging panel of senior travel industry figures will assess the submissions across a range of criteria and select a winner.

Travel Agent Categories:

A group of TTG's editors will shortlist the submissions. A panel of senior travel industry figures will then judge the submissions in July to decide winners. Shortlisted agents will be invited to attend a short Zoom interview with our judging panels on Wednesday 17 July.

Fairer Travel categories:

A group of TTG's editors will shortlist the submissions. A panel of senior travel industry figures will then judge the submissions in July to decide winners. Those shortlisted for Best Place to Work in Travel and Sustainable Travel Company of the Year will be invited to attend a short Zoom interview with our judging panels on Monday 15 July.

Individual Fairer Travel categories:

A panel of TTG's editors will shortlist the submissions and discuss with senior travel industry judges to decide the winners.

The panel of expert judges will be revealed in May.

When will judging take place?

Judging for all categories (excluding individual Fairer Travel categories) will take place 15-22 July, while special categories judging will take place later in the year.

How will my information be used?

All Travel Industry Awards by TTG judges sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) and aspects of judging entries, such as financial information is kept strictly confidential.

TTG will be using information shared during this year’s supplier categories for future insight projects to form a better picture of how the industry’s best companies are working with agent partners. Please note all data will be strictly anonymised and financial information kept strictly confidential.

When will tickets go on sale?

We can't wait to celebrate with you on 26 September!

Early-bird tickets will go on sale w/c 27 May.

When the shortlist is announced w/c 10 June, standard ticket fees will apply.
