From river to rail: Uniworld hosts 70 agents on iconic train

They boarded the Golden Eagle Danube Express to the sound of a 15-strong brass band following the Clia RiverView Conference in Budapest.

During the three-hour round trip, agents were given a tour of the private sleeper train, including en-suite cabins, restaurant and bar carriages, and watched a demonstration of the onboard cuisine and service during a three-course meal.

Rivercruising.co.uk’s Lewis Johnston said: “Having never seen a sleeper train, I had no idea what to expect. The space onboard was the first thing that shocked me. A whole carriage with an elegant bar complete with pianist – incredible.

“I was so impressed by the suites and how much space there was. Service and food were as good as any I’ve experienced, just the perfect fit with a brand like Uniworld.” 
 
The train is included in Uniworld’s World’s Greatest Rail and River Journeys collection. Uniworld has just announced an order for three new river vessels.
