Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has revealed a raft of promotions within its sales team which, it says, underlines its commitment to the UK and Ireland market.
Chief among them is Gary Anslow’s promotion to regional vice-president and head of UK and Ireland; Anslow joined the line as senior sales director in November 2021.
In his new role, Anslow will be tasked with expanding NCL’s presence in the UK and Ireland and to sharpen the line’s support for agents. He will report into Jason Krimmel, NCL’s chief international sales and marketing officer.
Elsewhere, Kirsty Webb has been promoted to the role of senior business development manager of NCL’s cruise specialist channel, while Chantelle White has been promoted to business development manager within NCL’s retail, homeworker and consortia channel.
Regional sales manager Laura Croft, meanwhile, will take up a new role as UK and Ireland travel partner training manager, with a focus on expanding NCL’s product and brand training programme across the UK and Ireland travel trade.
To support this expansion, NCL is recruiting for two new field-based account executives to extend its capacity for developing brand knowledge and awareness across the UK.
“We now have 20 ships on sale, nine of which will be sailing in Europe this summer,” said Anslow. “With four more new Prima Plus Class ships arriving over the course of the next four years, we have a level of growth that represents a huge opportunity for us and for our agent partners.
“The trade has always been critical to our success, and we are excited to be expanding and developing our trade sales team to ensure we continue to develop our trade partner support.”
Krimmel added: “The United Kingdom and Ireland is our largest source market outside of North America. Over the last 12 months, I’ve spent time with many of our key travel agent partners team from the region, and it remains clear that this market continues to be one with tremendous growth opportunities – something we are supporting with these new promotions.”
