River cruise specialist Crui.se has hit the £1 million revenue milestone despite only launching a year ago.
Digital marketer Dan Roche launched the online travel agency to improve the experience for customers wanting to book a river cruise online.
Crui.se currently employs seven people including two cruise consultants, two web developers and three content writers with 30 years’ travel industry experience between them.
More than 300 river cruise itineraries on the Danube, Douro, Moselle, Rhine, Mekong and Nile are listed on Crui.se’s site.
The agency – part of Hays Travel Independence Group – plans to add more features designed to help customers make “informed decisions” in the coming months.
Roche said: “Surpassing £1 million in our first year is a testament to our dedicated team and innovative approach to the river cruise market.
“We are driven by a commitment to making the booking experience as seamless and enjoyable as the journeys we help create."
Roche added that £20 from every booking made via Crui.se is donated to Alzheimer’s Research.
In August 2023, the agency landed its first booking when a customer booked a seven-night sailing on AmaWaterways’ AmaDouro ship. That sale was one of 39 Crui.se made during its first six months of business.
The agency sells A-Rosa River Cruises, AmaWaterways, APT, Avalon Waterways, CroisiEurope, Emerald Cruises, Riviera Travel, Saga, Scenic, Tui, Uniworld and Viking.
