Royal Caribbean International has returned to its private Labadee resort in Haiti after more than 200 days.
The line decided to remove calls to the resort after powerful gangs launched attacks on key government targets in late February.
However, despite the ongoing crisis in Haiti, Royal has decided to include Labadee in upcoming itineraries.
Royal confirmed to TTG that Labadee has been included in “several” upcoming calls, adding that Adventure of the Seas docked at Labadee on 8 October.
“The safety and security of our guests, crew, and communities we visit are our top priority,” said a Royal Caribbean International.
“Our global security and intel team has been closely monitoring the evolving situation in Haiti.”
It comes just days after Royal Caribbean announced plans to build a mini theme park-style destination near Mexico’s Costa Maya cruise port.
The development will be at Mexico’s Mahahual and is set to open in 2027.
Royal Caribbean said the project will feature a waterpark, pools, restaurants and bars and follow others such as at Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas and Labadee.
The line will also open Royal Beach Club Cozumel in 2026.
