Virgin Voyages reveals cash incentive programme to help boost booking levels
Virgin Voyages has unveiled a new incentive scheme which allows agents to earn cash in exchange for bookings.
Through the First Mate Loot programme, built in partnership with My Booking Rewards, agents can earn £30 for Mediterranean or northern European cruise bookings departing on selected 2024 and 2025 dates and £10 for other cruise bookings until 30 May.
It is the first time that Virgin Voyages has created a platform with My Booking Rewards.
“The launch period is the best time to book Sailors [passengers] on an amazing summer holiday while earning the highest cash payout,” a spokesperson for the line said.
To claim the cash, agents must make a Virgin Voyages booking, create an account on the First Mate Loot website – firstmateloot.com – and log the booking details.
Virgin Voyages will then verify and reward the agent. There is no limit to the amount of cash that agents can earn.
UK sales director SJ Walker said: “It’s not lost on us that the reason our Sailors are able to kick back and enjoy a relaxing holiday at sea is because of the tireless hard work our dedicated First Mates [travel agents] have put in to get them there.
“That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce the First Mate Loot initiative and offer cash payouts to First Mates who’ve successfully booked Sailors on our luxurious lady ships.”
She added: “This is our little added bonus way of thanking agents for booking top-notch Sailors on our worldwide itineraries.”
Darren Pearson, My Booking Rewards chief executive and founder, said: “Our agile technology will certainly support Virgin Voyages’ drive to incentivise and reward agents across the UK and Ireland."
