Air India will launch another route from Gatwick, its fifth from the Sussex airport, later this summer.
The carrier has named Bengaluru (Bangalore) as the latest addition to its UK-India network.
The five-times-weekly service will take off on 18 August, boosting its Gatwick-India schedule to 17 flights a week.
Air India will operate the route using a two-class Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with 18 business seats and 238 economy seats.
It currently serves Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa and Kochi from Gatwick.
It also operates 31 flights a week to India from Heathrow, and a further six from Birmingham.
