EasyJet holidays has put Tenerife packages on sale for summer 2025 from Southend airport, with flights set to follow "in the coming months".
The addition of a Tenerife route comes as the airline and operator prepares to open a new three-aircraft base at Southend next summer.
Flights to Faro, Palma, Paris, Amsterdam, Alicante and Malaga from Southend are on sale now for summer 2024, alongside package holiday options.
Paul Bixby, easyJet holidays chief commercial officer, said the airline and operator was delighted to make packages to the largest of the Canary Islands available to holidaymakers served by Southend.
Marc Taylor, Southend airport’s acting chief executive, said Tenerife had been in "high demand" from Southend’s catchment of more than eight million people.
"We’re particularly thrilled with today’s news and the continued positive momentum for our airport," he added.
