Jet2CityBreaks will offer Bratislava and Malmo as new destinations this winter, bringing two new countries into the operator’s network.
Bratislava will be accessed by flights to Vienna, with a transfer to the Slovakian capital of just over an hour. Twice-weekly flights will operate from now until 19 May 2025 from Manchester and Birmingham.
However, flights from nine airports will operate in November and December for the Christmas markets, with Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Stansted and Newcastle added.
Jet2 is offering packages based around four-star hotels in Bratislava, which sits on the Danube river.
Malmo is also aimed at Christmas market enthusiasts, with packages on sale from 29 November to 23 December 2024 from Leeds Bradford and Newcastle.
Despite Malmo having its own airport, Jet2 will access it via Copenhagen airport, with a 40-minute train connection. Flights will operate twice a week from Leeds Bradford and Newcastle.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “City and Christmas market breaks are continuing to grow in popularity, so we are delighted to be going on sale with two brand-new destinations for winter 24/25.
“Bratislava and Malmo are fantastic destinations, and we are expecting these new city and Christmas market packages with Jet2CityBreaks to be very popular with both customers and independent travel agents.
“We are always listening and reacting to feedback from holidaymakers, and this latest expansion of our Cities and Christmas Markets programmes for this winter is just another example of that.”
