Jet2 will launch seven new routes to Greece this year, with nearly 320 weekly flights operating during peak periods.
The airline will operate services from Liverpool to Corfu, Heraklion, Kos, Rhodes and Zante this summer, meaning it will fly to a total number of 14 Greek airports.
It will also soon offer flights from Birmingham to Mytilene and from Newcastle to Chania.
Jet2 has also increased the number of arriving seats by 12% to 1.52 million for the whole year, adding capacity to Corfu, Lesvos, Santorini, Rhodes and Crete in March and April.
Rhodes and Crete will also see their programmes extended until mid-November, the airline said. Meanwhile, tour operator arm, Jet2holidays, has added 200 hotels to its portfolio, bringing the total number of accommodations available to more than 1,500.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “This year will see Jet2.com and Jet2holidays operate its biggest ever programme to Greece and we have invested significantly in ensuring that customers know all about this fantastic destination, and that they enjoy our award-winning and industry-leading experience when they travel to Greece with us.”
The push comes off the back of a huge joint marketing campaign with the Greek National Tourist Office (GNTO).
Initially launched a year ago, the multi-channel strategy focuses on raising awareness of Greece as a top holiday destination through online and offline advertising, social media campaigns and press and influencer trips.
“This is a real investment in our growth in the country, and we look forward to continuing to boost awareness and sales with our partners through this innovative campaign work, especially early in the year which is such a key booking period for UK holidaymakers,” Heapy concluded.
