JetBlue has added Dublin to its transatlantic network, launching daily flights from New York JFK and Boston.
The inaugural services departed the US on Wednesday (13 March) with the first returns scheduled to depart Dublin on Thursday morning (14 March).
JetBlue is operating the routes using Airbus A321neo aircraft fitted with 16 of its Mint business class seats and 144 core seats. Boston fares lead in from $399pp and New York $499pp.
The seasonal Dublin services will operate through to 30 September. It follows JetBlue’s entrance into the transatlantic market in 2021 when it launched flights to London.
It claims since then to have disrupted the market with its “customer-focused experience" that undercuts what it described as "the historically high fares of legacy carriers".
Outbound flights depart New York JFK at 8.47pm, arriving Dublin at 9am (+1); Boston services, meanwhile, take off at 8.42pm, arriving in the Irish capital at 8.20am.
Return flights to JFK depart Dublin at 10.45am, while Boston returns depart 10 minutes later at 10.55am.
Joanna Geraghty, JetBlue chief executive, said: “JetBlue’s entrance into Dublin is set to introduce a new era of low fares and great service between Ireland and the north-east [of the US].
“We look forward to introducing our service to business and leisure customers travelling to and from Dublin just in time for St Patrick’s Day and the summer holiday season.”
