Journey Latin America has confirmed its new US and Canada sister brand Journeyscape will launch to the trade in July.
Journeyscape, which will be based at JLA’s west London office, will go on sale through agents on 15 July after a direct launch.
Head of product Stuart Whittington said Journeyscape would be able to draw on JLA’s nearly 45 years’ experience operating tailor-made and small escorted group tours to central and south America.
"With the launch of Journeyscape, we’re bringing our expertise, philosophy and passion to the US and Canada," he added.
Journeyscape will offer more than 60 "inspiring and authentic" journeys in north America, spanning self-drives, escorted tours and cruises.
Focuses include north American culture, heritage and popular culture, as well as the region’s landscapes and wildlife.
Trips include The Real Route 66 Extended, a 22-day self-drive from Lake Michigan to Santa Monica designed to mark the 100th anniversary of Route 66 in 2026. The itinerary leads in from £4,900pp.
The programme also features an Alaskan expedition cruise, Inside Passage – bears and Aleutian Islands (19 days from £9,516pp).
Other focuses include Native American culture, the music of the US’s southern states, Canada’s wild Newfoundland and the Rocky Mountains.
Whittington added: "We’re excited to be working with some incredible local partners to offer classic trips and off-the-beaten-track experiences that cover the length and breadth of north America, from enjoying the rhythms of the US’s Deep South to wildlife spotting in the remote Inside Passage between Canada and Alaska.”
