Charlotte: Welcome to our In The Spotlight video with the Austrian Tirol region! Bianca today we’re going to be talking about why agents should consider an Alpine summer holiday for their clients and showcasing some of the incredible activities available in the Austrian Tyrolean Alps. So to start, could you tell us which clients agents should be considering the destination for?
Bianca: Certainly I’m happy to do so. You know, with the weather being hotter, and maybe too hot for several destinations, we want to bring back the so called “Sommerfrische”, so a holiday with perfectly warm weather conditions where you can just unwind and relax. And with a trend to reconnecting to nature, well-being and health, we know that the Austrian Tirol is an excellent summer destination for active travellers and families of all age groups who want to experience some outdoor adventures, but also unwind in nature.
Charlotte: Fabulous thank you, and let’s talk about what guests can expect, so for those who’ve never been to the destination, what is it like in the summer?
Bianca: Yes, you know one thing that fascinates me as a Tyrolean, over and over again, is the diversity of Tirol. In its 34 regions guests can enjoy clean crystal clear waters, fresh air and vast landscapes. Whether one is looking for an action-packed summer adventure that gets your heart racing and blood pumping, or one just wants to calm and stroll on a mountain pasture, Austria really, and Tirol really offers something for every taste and also all ability levels.
Charlotte: Thank you, and thinking about resorts that agents can recommend, what would you suggest for active clients who perhaps want to try a range of sports?
Bianca: Yes well for active travellers I’m straightway thinking of two resorts, starting with St. Anton am Arlberg, which you know, the village itself is full of tradition and Austrian charm, but it is also just as much the perfect spot for nature experiences, hiking, biking and even golf. And it also hosts unique festivals like the Mountain Yoga festival. And then my second recommendation would be Paznaun-Ischgl, which I know is well known as a skiing hub, but the outdoor adventures don’t stop there, when the seasons change. Also there, hiking, biking climbing, you can get it all, and there’s never a dull moment. And also you know, both in the valley and on the mountains there’s lakes where you can just go for a dip and have a quick refreshment and that is something that really makes this resort special.
Charlotte: Oh they sound brilliant thank you, and what would your recommendations be for families?
Bianca: I can definitely recommend St. Johann in Tirol, nestled in between the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, where I’m sitting actually, and offering a chocolate box village vibe this is really a resort that just ticks all the boxes for a family mountain holiday. And you know those really important things like kid-friendly hotels and tons of activities for all ages are just matters of course in St. Johann. Also I have another region for people or families that are looking for truly unique experiences. I have to recommend the Zillertal Valley. There guest can visit the high mountain nature park in the Zillertal Alps with 85 glaciers, or they can just dive into the fascinating world of ice at the Nature’s Ice Palace at the Hintertux Glacier. And for all those foodies out there, they have more than 150 gourmet huts.
Charlotte: Fabulous, thank you. And for clients who want to weave in some sightseeing, which resorts should agents consider for them?
Bianca: Definitely Innsbruck. Think city break meets Alpine holiday. Yeah the city really offers the perfect mix of sightseeing and Alpine outdoor adventures right at your doorstep. And also the short distances are what makes the city unique for guests and locals alike. You can stroll its streets full of imperial elegance with Baroque and Gothic architecture in the Old Town, and then you can just take a cable car right from the centre up to 2,000 m in just 20 minutes. It’s incredible.
Charlotte: Brilliant, thank you so much for sharing all of that advice Bianca, there’s some brilliant selling tips in there, and thank you for watching our In The Spotlight video with the Austrian Tirol region.
Bianca: Thank you so much.
