Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth theme park is to open on 22 May next year, it has been confirmed.
Universal said Epic Universe was “the most ambitious theme park Universal Destinations and Experiences has ever created”.
It will comprise five themed worlds: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk plus Dark Universe.
Also on site will be the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a 500-room Loews Hotel with its own dedicated entrance to the park.
Universal said the opening of Epic Universe “will transform Universal Orlando Resort into a weeklong vacation destination” with four theme parks and 11 hotels.
“This is such a pivotal moment for our destination, and we’re thrilled to welcome guests to Epic Universe next year,” said Karen Irwin, Universal Orlando Resort president and chief operating officer.
The first packages and tickets go on sale on 22 October. These include multi-day tickets and packages that include three, four or five days’ admission to Universal’s four theme parks, including one day at Epic Universe.
Reservations for Universal Helios Grand Hotel also open on 22 October for stays beginning 22 May.
