Bruno Sartori, biologist and safari guide with Oncafari – a not-for-profit conservation partner of luxury lodge Caiman Ecological Refuge – chats to us about the big cats
A conservation success story: In the last two years, 100% of Caiman Ecological Refuge’s guests have seen at least one jaguar during their stay in the Pantanal, and that includes myself.
This is largely thanks to the work of Oncafari, an NGO which has helped pioneer responsible tourism in this region of Brazil.
Here guide Bruno Sartori explains how the big cats have become habituated and why a sighting will stay with your clients forever.
