A Welsh agency has launched its first escorted tour of Argentina, with a call in Welsh-speaking Patagonia where the group will celebrate St David’s Day.
Dave Dulin, owner of Cardiff-based agency Wonky Sheep Travel, said the two-week trip will also include stops in Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls and Mendoza.
“I’ve always been of the opinion that if there’s enough interest in something, then we’ll look at doing it,” he explained. There will be up to 50 places available on the tour, Dulin confirmed to TTG.
Dulin launched Wonky Sheep in 2013, born out of his passion for organising friends’ stag dos.
The agency has mainly specialised in sport and business travel, but last year expanded into the leisure market with the aim of “creating unique memories for travellers”.
"The football travel came from friends asking for trips, and it’s currently our biggest market," said Dulin, who also revealed Wonky Sheep would soon start offering a wider range of sports.
Dulin (pictured above) said he would be open to collaborating with other agents on upcoming tours. "People have their bucket lists and we want to offer a range of escorted trips,” he said.
“While Argentina has a Welsh focus, we want to draw travellers from all parts of the UK to join us on big trips like this or your Japans or less-ventured locations.
"But we’re also looking at European tours and city breaks with ’must-do’ elements which you may not ordinarily put together as an escorted tour. It’s about doing some things differently."
