Gdas Bali Health and Wellness Resort is a new eco-friendly, boutique yoga resort in the town of Ubud in Bali, where customers are promised a personalised holistic healing journey.
Surrounded by lush rice fields and serene jungle, Gdas Bali offers 27 rooms and villas, and is a welcoming and modern wellness resort for those looking to restore, rejuvenate and relax.
The sleek and elegant resort opened in October 2022 and is located near Ubud, which is often considered to be the spiritual and cultural epicentre of Bali. And at Gdas Bali the series of programmes and therapies offered by the resort’s certified holistic healers are designed to soothe the body, mind and soul, using both traditional and cutting-edge techniques and therapies.
Many of the modern therapeutic treatments and equipment at Gdas Bali aren’t available anywhere else on the island, and can be experienced at the resort’s wellness sanctuary, The Bali Eden, which opens in early 2023.
In the cryotherapy chamber guests are briefly exposed to incredibly low temperatures, which is believed to decrease inflammation, accelerate recovery, and boost energy levels. During live O2 therapy they breathe high levels of oxygen while exercising, with the aim of removing waste gases and toxins, while the colonic hydrotherapy treatments are designed to help aid a healthy gut. Clients can also receive nutrients via IV drips and head into the salt therapy cabin.
Exercise, yoga, meditation and spa therapies are combined with ancient healing traditions that use plant-based food, essential oils and herbs as medicine.
Guests can experience this first-hand at the Arana spa, a heavenly garden spa using fresh hand-picked ingredients from the herbal garden. It’s home to a herb laboratory, where some of the 250 herbs and plants grown on-site can be found.
Other facilities at The Bali Eden include a yoga shala area, steam room, infrared and traditional saunas, a bathhouse, plunge pools and fitness centre. The resort also has a pool and library.

Gdas Bali offers a range of wellness retreat, including the five-night healing with plant-based cuisine programme. It starts with a Balinese purification ceremony at Beji Temple, before customers have a private consultation with a wellness expert and take part in culinary classes, nutrition talks and chakra healing, with a healing massage and daily plant-based meals.
The resort focuses on culinary excellence and guests can take care of their bodies from the inside out at the Tangi Restaurant, which offers a menu of ’vegan soul food’.
With locally sourced ingredients and beautiful presentation, the healthy Balinese and international cuisine is tailored to individuals’ needs, goals, health history and dietary requirements. Everyone staying at Gdas Bali enjoys the VIP concierge service. The team are well-versed in supporting luxury clients and celebrities, and can meet clients at the airport, organise a private in-room check-in and assist with unpacking.
They can also manage guests’ bookings, excursions, restaurant reservations, laundry, transportation and personal shopping. And upon departure, the team can help with packing, transportation and more.
The discreet and personalised VIP concierge service is inspired by the ancient Balinese philosophy, ‘Sagilig Saguluk Salunglung Sabayantaka’, which means to unite, respect, remind, love and help each other.
Whether visitors choose a dedicated retreat or a wellness-focused holiday at Gdas Bali, they will enjoy peace, calm and luxury service.
