Anse Chastanet in St Lucia has introduced an underwater photography course. Clients will take daily morning dives before attending seminars led by a resident expert photographer, who will review their efforts and help them improve ahead of the next dive. The course is priced from £2,142pp and includes dive equipment and seven nights’ accommodation.

The True Blue Bay Boutique Resort in Grenada has launched a new health programme. From October 10-17, the True Sleep Wellness Retreat will promote relaxation through yoga, breathing lessons and a herbal tea workshop. Prices start from £1,999pp, based on two sharing on an all-inclusive basis with Gatwick flights included.
Going green
The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board has launched an initiative to help rebuild the island’s flora destroyed in hurricanes Irma and Maria. Carlisle Bay in Antigua has launched a Journey Through the Elements yoga programme for August, with classes to improve breathing and meditation. The package costs from £5,280pp for a seven-night all-inclusive stay, with active experiences such as horse-riding and an island helicopter tour included.

Visitors to the Cayman Islands can take advantage of a “Worry Free Hurricane Guarantee” this summer – a promise made by on-island partners to cover any cancellations made prior to arrival and compensation for holidays cut short owing to inclement weather. Participating hotels and resorts will provide a full refund of accommodation fees with a maximum one-night penalty for cancellations made up to 48 hours before check-in.
Four's a crowd
Bay Gardens Resorts has expanded its portfolio to four properties on St Lucia following the acquisition of the 35-room Palm Haven Hotel. Reopening in mid-July as the Bay Gardens Marina Haven, guests will receive six one-hour passes to Splash Island Water Park, free non-motorised water sports and a complimentary shuttle service between Bay Gardens Resorts facilities.

James Villa Holidays has expanded its portfolio into the Dominican Republic. Launched first at the Casa de Campo Resort in La Romana, James Villas now offers 15 new three- to five-bedroom properties, each with a private pool.
