CzechTourism is inviting you to connect at WTM Virtual and find out more about the diverse destination
While the Czech Republic’s cultural and enchanting capital Prague makes a great city break for clients keen to explore history, art and vibrant nightlife, this country has many alternative short breaks for those seeking something a little more off the beaten track.
The Moravian capital of Brno is home to a tantalising gastronomic scene, while Ostrava’s industrial past has made way for modern creative hubs and craft breweries. Plus, visitors in search of secret spots closer to the capital can head to the Prague 7 district for contemporary art museums and cosmopolitan cafes.
Perhaps one of the Czech Republic’s strongest selling points is its concentration of castles and chateaux – higher than anywhere else in the world. The country is dotted with thousands of these structures most commonly seen in fairytales and legends.
Outdoor adventures are also abundant, with Bohemian Switzerland national park’s scenic hiking routes deemed some of the best in Europe and activities such as kayaking down the Vltava River and mountain biking in the Jeseniky Mountains sure to generate adrenaline. There’s also the PGA National Czech Republic course on the outskirts of Prague for keen golfers.
This year, CzechTourism will be attending WTM Virtual with a new slogan: Plan Today, Czech in 2021. It’s designed to encourage travellers to make plans now in advance of the New Year, when it’s hoped Covid-19 restrictions will begin to lift. The tourist board is also promoting “workcations”, whereby visitors who are able to work remotely rent apartments in the country’s buzzing cities and historic towns and stay for longer periods – temporarily relocating to benefit from a change in environment after time spent in lockdown.
CzechTourism will be joined by around 20 regional partners at WTM Virtual from 9-11 November, all of which will be available for digital meetings.
