As part of IAG, Vueling has set its sights high, with an ambitious growth strategy introducing several European routes from the UK and Ireland.

With multiple new services from Gatwick for the winter season, alongside additions at Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Cardiff, Dublin, Cork and Shannon, clients from all regions can easily enjoy Vueling’s friendly service and attractive prices.

In April Vueling launched its Gatwick to Granada service, whisking clients off to the beautiful Andalusian city in just two hours and 40 minutes. This makes it the perfect time to tempt travellers with Granada’s spectacular views, thriving tapas culture and architectural gems.

As a leader in the Spanish domestic market, this winter Vueling will expand its UK operations further. Three new routes are scheduled from Gatwick to Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Gran Canaria, making it easy for clients to jet off to enjoy the sun, sea and sand in the Canary Islands.

They can soak up some winter sun in Tenerife from 6 December, with flights operating three times a week. Meanwhile, from 7 December the airline will offer two flights a week to the island of Gran Canaria.

Those looking to escape the grey December skies at home can also fly to Lanzarote from 8 December, with two flights a week.

FORWARD THINKING

Vueling is taking great strides to become more energy efficient. All flight documentation is now entirely digital, saving 75kg of paper per flight. The airline also aims to recycle 100% of onboard waste, thanks to a new segregation process.

In June Vueling operated its first green flight between Barcelona and Lyon, which slashed the volume of CO2 emissions by 72%, compared to a traditional flight. The airline optimised the flight path, used a next-generation Airbus A320neo and deployed sustainable aviation fuel.

Vueling has also teamed up with Avikor, a digital platform promoting the use of biofuel. Passengers can now choose a more sustainable fuel option for their flight during the booking process, and receive a certificate detailing how much sustainable fuel was used and the carbon dioxide emissions avoided by the switch. Plus, Vueling has pledged to reach net-zero CO2 emissions by the year 2050.
