New Brunswick is a fascinating destination known for huge untouched wilderness, seafood and the highest tides in the world. In a province that’s 85% forested with 3,417 miles of coast, there are great outdoor adventures around every turn.
There are picturesque beaches, the warmest saltwater in Canada and endless opportunities for activities such as kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, hunting, fishing and camping. Plus, the fun is year-round so visitors can add snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and dogsledding to the list.
When holidaying in New Brunswick, exploring the Bay of Fundy, home of the world’s highest tides, is a must. Suggest sea kayaking along the scenic coast and getting up close to amazing rock formations and sea caves, or walking on the ocean floor at low tide to feel small standing beside the famous “Flowerpot Rocks” at Hopewell Rocks.
The Bay of Fundy also offers ziplining, rappelling and whale watching, while foragers can scour the beach to find fossils 320 million years old then enjoy tremendous views of the bay while driving the Fundy Trail Parkway.
New Brunswick is a hiker’s heaven, with many beautiful coastal trails. The Fundy Footpath has been named one of the top 50 hikes in the world by a Canadian publication and the Nepisiguit Trail is in National Geographic’s ranking of the 25 best travel destinations in the world for 2022.
Meanwhile, the Acadian Peninsula Veloroute allows adventurers to take in ocean scenery and experience French culture while cycling through small communities. Whether clients are seeking outdoor adventure, food and drink, history and culture, or great sightseeing, Canada’s only officially bilingual province has it.
New Brunswick travels will offer visitors chance meetings with a wide range of marine and land wildlife, plus more than 400 species of bird.
