The Canadian Rockies are known to many as a must-visit holiday destination thanks to the mountain range’s awe-inspiring vistas. This is where holidaymakers will find nature’s most beautiful sparkling lakes, snowy mountains and local wildlife at every turn.

Rocky Mountaineer, the luxury tourist train operating in Western Canada’s Rockies, and now also the American Southwest, is one of the best ways to see all that this part of the world has to offer. The train takes you on a journey alongside rivers, through quaint mountain towns, and within arm’s reach of striking, snow-capped mountains. Along the way, passengers will have front-row seats to watch fleeting wildlife, including moose, elk, bighorn sheep, bear and eagles soaring through the sky.

The experience onboard the all-dome fleet features rich, historic storytelling, world-class cuisine and a first-hand look at lush green forests and turquoise glacier-fed lakes, all from the comfort of plush, reclining seats. With three unique routes to choose from, the unforgettable all-daylight journeys offer romance and history, reminding passengers that travelling is as much about the journey as it is the destination.

The moment visitors arrive at their station, Rocky Mountaineer’s exuberant team is there to celebrate with them. A literal red carpet is rolled out to welcome guests, while a bagpiper regally plays them onto the train and fresh scones are served straight from the oven. As the train pulls out of the station, the onboard hosts are eager to start the journey with a morning toast and share stories of the history, nature and excitement that surrounds the train. There’s an immediate camaraderie that is almost palpable between the hosts and fellow travellers as they all embark on their journey together.

While nature’s wonders unfold outside the windows, guests are given the opportunity to truly unwind. Whether clients would rather sit with a glass of sauvignon blanc in the comfort of the domed car, or on the outdoor vestibule breathing the fresh mountain air, Rocky Mountaineer is their chance to unplug and relax fully into their sumptuous surroundings. With classic Canadian breakfasts and three-course lunches, the culinary service gives passengers a taste of the unique flavours that come from the passing regions. Each route offers exceptional food, and a wine and cheese service in the afternoon rounds out the culinary delights.

All in all, the spacious and comfy one-of-a-kind glass-dome coaches, the unparalleled scenery, impeccable service, irresistible cuisine, and opportunities to socialise onboard combine to make an unforgettable experience on the Rocky Mountaineer.
