The 7Pines Resort Sardinia opened its doors on 1 August on the north-east coast of the island.
It is the second property from the 7Pines brand, following the 7Pines Resort Ibiza, and the beachfront resort in Costa Smeralda offers 76 rooms, including eight junior suites and 20 suites.
All accommodation grades have views of the sea or gardens, and have been designed using granite and white marble from Orosei, ceramics made by local artisans, and craft textiles from Samugheo.
A spokesperson explained: “Every space pays homage to the spirit of the island and its cultural traditions. Architecture, materials and fabrics all honour the nature of the Gallura region, perfectly blending with the atmosphere and style which Costa Smeralda is fondly celebrated for.”
Rooms will also include a corner bar, with ingredients, tools and recipes for guests to make their own cocktails.
The gastronomic offering is led by executive chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio and features three restaurants and three bars. Capogiro is the resort’s fine dining restaurant, serving Mediterranean cuisine. Spazio overlooks the pool and includes a market-style counter where guests can choose from a variety of locally-sourced meats and fish, which are grilled on the barbecue.
There is also a pool bar and the Cone Club, which serves a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Tohru Nakamura, in collaboration with local producers, farmers and fishermen.
The property features a gym, the Pure Seven Spa, a main private beach and four secluded coves. It is also home to a beach club with a private jetty and tennis courts.
Activities on offer include a variety of watersports, alongside yoga, Pilates and meditation sessions. The property can also arrange horseback riding, e-bike adventures, guided hikes, a helicopter flight along Sardinia’s coastline, a tour in a Ferrari 488 Spider and sailing trips.
The concierge team can assist guests with a range of local experiences, including traditional cookery classes, an archaeological tour of northern Sardinia’s middle to late Bronze Age sites, and a shepherd experience at a local farm.
The resort will host its first sports academy with Italian Olympic gymnast Jury Chechi between 6 to 14 September. As a former gold medallist in the rings, Chechi will be running callisthenics lessons for children, teenagers and adults.
7Pines is part of Destination by Hyatt and the property is the first Hyatt-affiliated hotel in Sardinia.
