Abercrombie & Kent has expanded its portfolio of luxury expedition cruises for the 2023/2024 season to include all seven continents, with four new itineraries in Europe, Africa and the South Pacific.
The line said the new offering will feature "immersive experiences" as travellers look to explore less-frequented coastal regions.
Bob Simpson, A&K vice president of expedition cruising, said the company has seen a strong interest in Mediterranean sailings in 2022 and will offer a series of cruises which can be combined into a single 28-day grand voyage, starting with a sailing along the Italian coast, before calling at Croatia, Montenegro and Greece.
"Our Expedition Cruises are designed around engaging cultural exchanges, surprising wildlife encounters and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, led by the most accomplished scientists and native cultural experts from the communities we visit," Simpson added.
A 14-day Cruising the Seychelles & Coastal Tanzania itinerary departs Zanzibar for Mahe, while the nine-day European Coastal Cruise: Portugal, Spain & France sailing departs Lisbon for London.
The French Polynesia to Easter Island Expedition is a 14-day voyage from Papeete to Easter Island and the Adriatic Voyage: Croatia, Montenegro & Greece itinerary includes several days in Greece and excursions to Corfu before ending in Athens.
The line will also offer Antarctica and the Arctic, The Northwest Passage, Japan, Australia’s Kimberley region, Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea, Italy, Greece and Indonesia.
