Abercrombie & Kent has created a collection of Off Grid Adventures, including an around-the-world private jet expedition with founder Geoffrey Kent.
The 24-day private jet tour departs in October 2022 and will take passengers to several destinations Kent will be visiting for the first time. He will join guests as they visit Ephesus, experience a private temple dinner hosted in Hanoi and meet with the king and elders of Porto Novo, the capital of Benin.
The trip will be onboard a chartered 757 private jet with first class, fully lie-flat seats. Kent founded A&K in Africa in 1962 with a refrigerated ex-Army truck using the motto: “Off-the-beaten-track safaris”.
Other Off Grid Adventures include the 22-day Africa: Across a Continent by Private Jet tour, which departs in September 2023. Highlights include seeing mountain gorillas in Rwanda, visiting Egypt and the Serengeti plains, and sleeping under the stars in the Sahara Desert.
A spokesperson said: “A&K pride themselves on only working with the best guides and local experts; from polar explorers to African rangers, who ensure the very best in each destination. Expert knowledge of a country, a little black book of contacts and insider access ensures any journey with A&K will not only run to procession but exceed expectations.”
The collection also includes an 11-night family glamping adventure in Argentina, where guests stay in sustainable pop-up tents designed specifically for the requirements of their party.
On a six-night trip to Kenya guests can embark on a walking safari led by a Maasai guide, heading into the Loita Hills on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. They will explore the indigenous woodland of the Forest of the Lost Child, following ancient elephant trails and learning about the Maasai culture and local wildlife.
Adventures by sea include the Yacht Kaori: Alaska’s Inside Passage, where customers sail through the Inside Passage on board an exclusively chartered, crewed luxury schooner.
