Taking place online 26-27 October, this is the first trade show and forum to be organised by Regenerative Travel, a benefit corporation, travel planning service and collection of independent hotels and lodges committed to regenerative hospitality.

The event is free for agents to attend, “in line with the brand’s ethos of inclusivity and best practice sharing”, and starts with the forum on 26 October.

The forum will feature conversations with travel designers, journalists, hoteliers and conservationists on the state of travel, as well as on how the industry can get onboard with the regenerative travel movement and serve as a catalyst for change, generating economic, social, and environmental wealth.

Panel sessions include Designing and Selling Regenerative Travel, featuring Gangtey Lodge, Trufflepig, Brazil Luxury Travel Association and Tastemakers Africa, and designed to help travel advisors grow their engagement with this growing travel concept.

“I am thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Regenerative Travel to help promote this event, as this movement continues on an expanding and educative pathway to urge the travel industry to see how much further it can and should go,” said April Hutchinson, editor of TTG Luxury. “I look forward to hearing how a number of great travel professionals oare incorporating regenerative travel values and experiences into guest itineraries and shifting the paradigm for travel towards one that is transformative for guests and has a positive impact in all areas.”

Other speakers over the day include Beks Ndlovu, founder of African Bush Camps; Brooke Garnett, founder of luxury travel company Mayamaya; Chip Conley, founder of the Modern Elder Academy, soon to be opening up its first “regenerative community” in New Mexico; Dana Krauskopf, owner of Hamanasi Resort, a boutique eco-resort in Belize; Jeffery Smith, vice-president of sustainability at Six Senses; Naledi K Khabo, chief executive of Africa Tourism Association; and Portia Hart, founder of Blue Apple Beach in Colombia and Fundación Green Apple, specialising in the promotion of sustainability in the local tourism industry.

The trade show on day two “aims to move the entire travel industry along the path of regeneration” and is envisioned as a platform for regenerative hotels and destination management companies to showcase their offerings and connect with value-aligned and conscious travel agents.

Exhibitors with a regenerative ethos can register for a virtual booth from $500, which offers a 20-minute virtual exhibitor slot during the trade show. The fee also includes a 45-minute consultation with Regenerative Travel’s sales and marketing specialist, access to a curated database of 100+ potential buyers, suppliers and travel agents, and complimentary access to the forum and trade show.
