Aman has appointed former Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts sales and marketing chief Ben Trodd as its new chief operating officer.
Trodd was formerly the senior vice president of sales and hotel marketing at Four Seasons. In a statement Aman said he will oversee all facets of Aman’s hotel and resort operations to deliver the brand’s vision and strategy, working closely with chairman and chief executive Vlad Doronin, “whilst ensuring the unique characteristics and exceptional levels of service, for which the distinguished collection is recognised, are retained.”
Trodd has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and was previously regional vice president and general manager of the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, and oversaw nine additional Four Seasons properties.
He will be based at Aman’s Swiss office and said: "Aman is a brand that I have long admired and respected. The exceptional achievements in setting industry benchmarks for guest experience, employee value proposition, brand loyalty, and strong commercial acumen present a strong foundation to further propel growth and success."
Aman’s portfolio spans 34 hotels and resorts in 20 destinations, of which 12 feature Aman branded residences. A further ten projects are in the pipeline, with several under construction.
