Aman Kyoto opens soon - there will be a spa with yoga, acupuncture, and forest bathing

Aman Kyoto is located in a 79-acre forest and gardens and within walking distance of a Unesco World Heritage Site, the Kinkaku-ji temple.

It offers six guest houses and 26 rooms, including two presidential suites in the Washigamine and Takagamine Pavilions, and will open to visitors on 1 November.

The Susuki, Nara, Kaede and Hotaru pavilions at the resort all have 60 square metre rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and bathtubs made from hinoki cypress wood.

There is also an Aman Spa offering yoga and meditation, breathing practice, acupuncture, forest bathing, and traditional bathing using local spring water.

Chef Kentaro Torii will serve Kyoto-style cuisine alongside Western dishes in the resort’s restaurant, which is designed in tribute to artist Honami Koetsu.

Aman already has hotels in Tokyo and Ago Bay.
