America As You Like It has added a range of new experiential accommodation options in the US.
The specialist tour operator, which offers tailor-made fly-drives and city breaks in the US and Canada – said its range of unique outdoor stays “are comfortable enough to rival hotel rooms” and come with the added bonus of being “in the thick of the great outdoors”.
The range includes options to allow glamping stays close to iconic locations such as Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon, as well as Airstream stays, luxury tents and cabins in places such as Cape Cod, Russian River and Yosemite.
At Under Canvas Grand Canyon in Arizona, guests can stay at safari-inspired glamping accommodations in Valle, Arizona, 25 minutes from the South Rim entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. Glamping options at the campground include luxury tents that sleep up to four people, with private bathrooms, wood burning stoves and on-site dining from £170 per night.
In Yosemite, the Airstream Stays at AutoCamp put guests in 31ft Airstream trailers with fully functional kitchenettes and bathrooms with walk-in rain showers, from £156 per night.
Cabins in the Royal Gorge region of the Colorado mountains also feature for the first time, with indoor/outdoor fireplaces, flat screen TVs and spa-style bathrooms, while in Utah, Conestoga Wagons now feature. Each wagon sleeps up to five people and is an exact replica of the original big wagons used by the pioneers.
And in Washington’s Olympic National Park, a sustainable forest glamping option is also new, where the campsite’s philosophy “to provide experiential lodging in the most remote and wild places” and each trailer dwelling has the ability to “leave no trace”.
Reopening for summer 2022 and available to reserve from this autumn, the trailers start from £170 per night, for two people, with a two-night minimum stay.
