Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas is making its debut into Ireland with the signing of a hotel in Dublin.
The Marker Hotel, located in Dublin’s Docklands and owned by real estate investment management company Deka Immobilien, is about to be rebranded as Anantara’s first urban hotel in Europe.
It has 187 guest rooms over six floors, including 166 deluxe rooms, 18 executive rooms, and three suites.
There is also a spa, rooftop terrace boasting 360° views, La Brasserie restaurant and eight event and meeting facilities.
“The Marker Hotel is already known as one of the city’s leading hotels and bringing the reputation and luxury touch points of Anantara to the property will further elevate the guest experience,” said Dillip Rajakarier, chief executive of Minor Hotels, parent company of Anantara.
The Dublin hotel will be the third Anantara in Europe, joining Vilamoura Algarve Resort in Portugal and the Villa Padierna Palace in Marbella, Spain.
Ramon Aragones, chief executive of NH Hotel Group which operates the Anantara in Europe under Minor Hotels, said: “This agreement will enable us to bring a truly different value proposition to the Irish market for the first time.”
