Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has opened the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel, marking its first offering in France.
The Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel is located in a 19th century property on Nice’s boardwalk, at the entrance to the Golden Square. The building first opened as a hotel in 1848 and has undergone a two-year renovation, reopening with 151 rooms, including 38 suites, many with sea-facing terraces and balconies. The 54-square-metre Baie des Anges Signature Suite includes a living area, a kitchenette and a panoramic terrace overlooking the Baie des Anges.
The property is home to The Anantara Spa, with five treatment rooms, a hammam and a sauna. There is also a seminar space with six meeting rooms and a ballroom.
Situated on the rooftop, Seen by Olivier is the hotel’s signature restaurant, serving contemporary Mediterranean fare from Portuguese chef-entrepreneur Olivier da Costa, alongside views of the Baie des Anges and Old Nice. Guests can also visit the Les Colonnades caviar and Champagne lounge.
The hotel offers a programme of private guest experiences, including the full-day In the Footsteps of Coco Chanel tour, where visitors gain insights into the creative life of the iconic French designer and tour one of France’s oldest wineries at Chateau de Cremat.
The hotel has been shaped by designers and architects including David Collins Studio, Jean-Paul Gomis and TBC Studio.
