Baglioni Hotels & Resorts has opened the 30-key Casa Baglioni in Milan, and the Leading Hotels of the World member houses a restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Claudio Sadler.
The Casa Baglioni is in the centre of Milan’s Brera design district, and offers 30 suites and rooms, a living area and a wine cellar.
The rooms and suites have been designed by Milanese architects Spagnulo & Partners and feature a range of artwork by artists including Enrico Castellani, Christo, Carla Accardi and Hans Hartung. There are seven grades of accommodation, including the 113-square-metre Brera Presidential Suite, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, a private terrace and living area.
The property’s culinary offering is overseen by Michelin-starred chef Claudio Sadler, who has moved his current Milanese restaurant Restaurant Sadler, and its Michelin star, to Casa Baglioni.
Group chief executive Guido Polito said: “As well as being a hot spot during Milan Fashion Weeks, Casa Baglioni Milan will offer exceptional food and beverage and a carefully curated programme of cultural experiences that showcase the best of the Brera district, the Italian spirit and culture”.
The hotel will offer private tours, including A Walk Through Brera Art and History, which focuses on the places and protagonists of Milanese art, including a visit to one of the oldest Italian academies, Brera Academy of Fine Arts, the Museo del Novecento, Piero Manzoni’s courtyard and opportunities to meet artists who work within the Brera district.
It’s the group’s fourth Italian property, with existing hotels in Florence, Venice, Rome, Puglia and Sardinia, alongside London and the Maldives.
