Barcelo Hotel Group has been awarded three more Michelin stars, bringing its total to five across Spain.
The hotel chain received the culinary badges of honour in the 2023 Spain and Portugal Michelin Guide. La Finca, the restaurant of The Royal Hideaway Hotel La Bobadilla, was awarded one star, making it the first restaurant in the province of Granada in Andalucia to receive the accolade.
Four of Barcelo’s new and existing stars have been awarded to restaurants in the Canary Islands, meaning the brand now holds the highest number of Michelin stars for one company across the islands.
The Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant San Ho at the Royal Hideaway Corales Resort in Tenerife received its first star, recognising the work of young chefs Adrian Bosch and Eduardo Dominguez, who are from the island.
At Royal Hideaway Corales Resort in Tenerife, restaurant El Rincon de Juan Carlos – which is run by brothers Juan Carlos and Jonathan Padron from Tenerife – received its second Michelin star.
Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway hotel in Gran Canaria, has retained its Michelin star at Poemas, the restaurant led by the Padron brothers. This star was achieved last year and marked the first in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
