Patina Hotels & Resorts is a new brand of “lifestyle” hotels created by Capella Hotel Group.
The first Patina property will be Patina Maldives, Fari Islands in the Indian Ocean, which will open in late 2020, with further hotels planned for Ubud in Bali and the Chinese resort of Sanya.
Nicholas Clayton, chief executive of Capella Hotel Group, said Patina was being created to become “a new leader in progressive hospitality”.
“Focusing on creating a seamless experience, the brand is refreshing, dynamic and modern, appealing to the blended lifestyle of today’s curious and conscious consumer,” he explained.
Patina’s resorts will be designed to encourage guests to “nurture a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them”.
The new brand’s properties will include “vibrant” social spaces and will be located in “extraordinary urban and natural landscapes”.
Patina Maldives, which is being designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan in the Maldives’ North Atoll, will offer 90 beach and water villas, ranging from one to three bedrooms, as well as 20 Fari Studios.
