Carrier has revealed the winners of its A-List Awards 2022, where it championed its top-performing agents with several new categories, alongside the usual regional agent groupings.
Dan Salmon, owner of Never A Wasted Journey, scooped Luxury Travel Designer of the Year UK. The Luxury Agency of the Year UK award, which recognises the highest revenue producing agent in the country for Carrier in 2022, was awarded to Tarporley Travel, with directors Emma Parry and Lynette Simpson receiving the award.
The Managing Directors’ award was won by Alan Haynes and Ultimate Destinations, receiving praise for “growing the company from a small independent agency to a hugely successful business and having a phenomenal rebound post pandemic.”
The awards took place in the Princess Anne Theatre at Bafta Piccadilly. Normally held annually, the awards were last organised in February 2020, with a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Managing director Natasha Towey said: “Our agent relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re always delighted to get together and shine a light on these incredible companies and individuals who we believe are leading the way in luxury travel and should be recognised for their achievements. To do this in an iconic, world-class space like Bafta, which champions creativity and talent is the perfect and most fabulous venue.”
Carrier also recognised two of its own employees, who each received an award for Outstanding Agent Support. Luxury Travel Designers Amy Kirk from the Beach team and Katie Paterson from the Touring team were awarded for their “exceptional performance” in individual sales, alongside both agent and internal feedback.
