Guests at Ikos Resorts can now go electric on Local Drive Adventures by switching to a high-end Tesla.
The five-star, all-inclusives across the Mediterranean offer the self-drive tour as part of their Ikos Local Discovery experience which encourages guests to explore beyond the resort.
Tesla Model 3s have been added as a more sustainable option for 2023 and are available for a day’s complimentary use by guests of any Ikos Resort looking to go on an eco-driving adventure. Tesla Models Y are also available for Deluxe Collection guests to enjoy an upgraded experience.
Guests who hold valid driving licences simply download the Ikos Mobile App for information on the top local destinations and directions of how to get there. They then pre-book a hire date through Guest Services.
The move comes as part of the Ikos Green programme, which embraces policies, initiatives and targets in areas such as sustainable hotel operations, protection and enhancement of local biodiversity and local community support.
The overarching target is to achieve net zero by 2030.
As well as the Tesla car partnership, other sustainable initiatives already include a commitment to procuring 100% renewable electricity, working with local and organic producers, communities and restaurants as well as more than 40 charities and organisations across environmental, health, cultural and sports fields.
The Ikos resorts portfolio includes Ikos Oceania and Ikos Olivia in Halkidiki, Ikos Dassia in Corfu and Ikos Aria in Kos Island, as well as Ikos Andalusia in Marbella Estepona, Spain. This year, new openings will include Ikos Odisia in Corfu in May and Ikos Porto Petro in Mallorca in June.
Besides exclusive experiences, Ikos Resorts’s all-inclusive tarrif covers meals from menus created by Michelin-star chefs, 24-hour room service and signature cocktails by top mixologists.
