Crystal hires river line’s UK sales lead

Joyner had held several travel industry roles across the car hire, cruise and travel retail sectors before joining A-Rosa in October 2019. 

He posted on LinkedIn about his new job, saying: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as sales manager UK and Eire at Crystal Cruises.”

Crystal Cruises relaunched under a new name and brand proposition, Crystal – Exceptional at Sea, almost a year ago after it was acquired by the A&K Travel Group. 

A-Rosa’s UK and Ireland managing director Lucia Rowe praised Joyner for his work during his time with the brand. 

“I have no doubt he will do really well in his new role, and they are very lucky to have him,” Rowe explained. 

“Stephen has achieved so much in the last four years. He played an instrumental role in the creation of A-Rosa packages, our trade reservations arm in the UK that pulls together packages by air and rail, and has worked tirelessly with the trade to grow our brand presence, despite the challenges of Covid.” 

Rowe continued: “I can’t thank him enough for all his hard work and commitment during his time with A-Rosa and wish him every success as he takes on his next challenge, back in the world of ocean cruising.” 

She confirmed Joyner’s replacement at A-Rosa would be announced “as soon as we are able”, before confirming that A-Rosa was also recruiting a regional sales manager for the south of the UK.
