With the relaunch of Crystal planned for July, the cruise line has revealed details of a new spa concept on Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, and unveiled a video showcasing what’s to come.
The brand and vessels Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony were acquired by A&K Travel Group in 2022, and the ships are currently undergoing extensive refurbishments in Trieste. When they debut this summer enhancements will include larger, updated suites, refreshed specialty dining venues and new onboard wellness facilities. Guests will also find a new pickleball court and reimagined entertainment and events.
Ahead of the relaunch, Crystal has shared this video of its world cruise brand ambassador, former Silversea director Fernando Barroso de Oliveira, discussing the brand. Barroso de Oliveira will host the line’s world cruise in January.
The updates across the two ships include a redesigned spa concept, created in collaboration with Tillberg Design of Sweden. The Aurora spa is named after the Goddess of Dawn, and the design is inspired by the sunrise, with an illuminated fibre optic starlight ceiling, organic materials and natural salt crystal and silk brushed slate stone.
Senior vice president of hotel operations Bernie Leypold said: “We cannot wait for our guests to experience the all-new Aurora and wellness offerings onboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. Our partners at Tillberg Design of Sweden have created gorgeous spaces reflective of energy, light and balance to help our guests truly embrace their most extraordinary self at sea.”
The spa will feature treatments and technology from skincare brand Elemis and beauty experts Kerastase. Featured treatments include the Aurora LED and Cryo Facial Experience and the Biotec 2.0 The Ultimate Facial. Signature massage treatments include the Aurora Stone Signature Massage incorporating hot stones and The Chariot of Light with LED light therapy.
Crystal Serenity will feature 12 treatment rooms, while Crystal Symphony will offer 10, with male and female steam rooms, saunas and a relaxation room on both ships. The Salon will provide hair services, alongside nail and make-up treatments for both men and women.
