Crystal has confirmed an order for a third ocean-going ship, which can carry up to 690 passengers.
The order comes after the ultra-luxury cruise line agreed a “two-unit” deal with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri in the summer.
Crystal revealed the 61,800-gross-ton vessel will feature amenities and "innovative" designs, “ensuring unparalleled comfort and indulgence for guests”.
One feature will be a promenade extending through the ship, similar to the one on Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.
Eateries Umi Uma – the only Nobu restaurant at sea – and Beefbar will also feature on the new ship, which will be delivered in 2032.
The new ship will have all-suite accommodation with private verandas, including a single occupancy category.
Crystal said its “commitment to comfort” means its ships have “the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in this segment, ensuring personalised service and attention to detail”.
Abercrombie and Kent (A&K) Travel Group bought both of Crystal’s existing vessels six months after the line collapsed in 2022 under previous ownership.
Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, executive chair of A&K Travel Group, said: “Exercising this option and agreeing to build a third ship together showcases the trust and partnership between my family and Fincantieri, dating back to Sitmar Cruises and evolving through Silversea to our present vision with Crystal.”
