Family-run luxury hotel group Thanos Hotels & Resorts has debuted its first property outside Cyprus with the launch of Amyth of Mykonos.
The newcomer is also the first under new design-led boutique brand Amyth Hotels, which promises “ultra-personalised” service.
Opened on 14 April, Amyth of Mykonos is situated on a hilltop beside the village of Agios Stefanos and comprises 17 one-bedroom suites.
A collaboration with GNB Architects has resulted in an Aegean-inspired design with calming earth-toned interiors, Mykonian stone walls, handcrafted wooden furnishings and natural decorations.
Among accommodation options are garden suites with private terraces and sea-view suites with private pools and hot-tubs.
An outdoor gym sits alongside a sea-view pool. There is also a spa treatment room offering 10 types of massage, while personal training, private yoga and sessions with wellness experts are also available on demand.
Mediterranean dishes in the Amyth Kouzina restaurant include fresh local seafood and a range of gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.
Thanos’s own retail boutique Kult offers a selection of Mykonos-style designer beachwear and clothing from international luxury brands.
Possible excursions arranged from the resort include kitesurfing in Korfos bay and tours of Delos Island, birthplace of Apollo.
Thanos Hotels & Resorts has a 50-year heritage and also includes Anassa, Almyra and Annabelle hotels and Antasia Beach Club along with the Kult fashion boutiques.
