The Lana – Dorchester Collection’s first hotel in the Middle East – makes its debut in Dubai on 1 February, set in a 30-storey tower overlooking Business Bay.
The new luxury hotel in Downtown Dubai will have 225 contemporary guest rooms and suites with triple-height ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and deep-soaking bath tubs – some positioned with views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai’s iconic skyline.
Interiors by Parisian designers Gilles & Boissier feature dark marble, rounded furniture, and soft hues of gold, beige and olive.
As part of the hotel, the first Dior Spa in the UAE will open on the 29th floor this April, with five treatment rooms and one couple’s suite offering a slew of exclusive treatments such as Escale at The Lana, Dior Stone Therapy and D-Sculpt, plus tailored wellness experiences.
Among the hotel’s eight restaurants and bars, Michelin-starred chefs Martin Berasategui and Jean Imbert, and award-winning pastry chef Angelo Musa will be launching their first culinary ventures in Dubai.
Alongside Angelo Musa’s Parisian-style patisserie Bonbon Cafe, Martin Berasategui’s new restaurant Jara will offer Basque cuisine as well as pintxos and cocktails at the bar. Meanwhile modern Mediterranean fare will be served at Riviera by Jean Imbert, who has also developed pool lounge concept High Society beside the hotel’s rooftop pool, with cabana service during the day, transforming into a bar and social destination in the evening.
Four other outlets led by the hotel’s executive chef Oliver Jackson include afternoon tea destination The Gallery, open-air garden bar Veranda, cocktail lounge Bitter Honey, and hidden speakeasy Txakolina.
