Ennismore is readying to launch two hotels on the east coast of Ibiza in Cala Llonga.
Hyde Ibiza and Mondrian Ibiza are the first Ennismore projects on the Balearic island and will open for short preview summer seasons ahead of full openings in 2024.
Hyde Ibiza will be the first European hotel from the music-inspired hospitality brand and is now open for bookings for an initial eight-week season from 15 August.
By spring 2024, the hotel will have 401 rooms across two buildings and all rooms will have terraces.
Hyde Ibiza said despite a reputation as a hotspot for music, culture and tourism, the island had “relatively few lifestyle hotels” and added it now hopes to bring “a festival-inspired communal spirit” with a big focus on the music and pool scene, wellbeing and its culinary offering.
Room types will include All Access and Headliner accommodations, featuring two bedrooms with king size beds, living spaces, and two terraces overlooking the Mediterranean.
The hotel has three pools within its Hyde Beach and Bungalow pool bar areas, while design elements include an “endless sofa” in the lobby and woven textile art.
Dining options at Hyde Ibiza will include Cuyo, an all-day dining restaurant, and Hyde Beach, a lounge-style pool bar with music, cocktails and DJ sessions.
Guests will also have access to a “bohemian lobby bar” with spectacular views, a pool bar and a coffeeshop, all of which are shared with the adjacent Mondrian Ibiza, which will also open on 15 August.
Mondrian Ibiza is the first property in Spain for the design-driven hotel brand and is also now accepting reservations for its eight-week preview season, ahead of the hotel’s full opening in spring 2024.
Mondrian Ibiza sits on a 200-metre beachfront and will feature 154 guest rooms, with artwork playing an integral role at the hotel. Art curators Gone Rogue have selected a collection drawing inspiration from Ibiza, with a rolling exhibition space in the lobby for local artists.
By 2024, dining and social options at Mondrian Ibiza will include The Perq, which is part-coffee-bar, part specialty marketplace for locally-baked sweets and sandwiches; Sun & Moon, which will offer “Aussie-influenced comfort foods”, light bites and refreshing drinks; and “understated and classic” Japanese restaurant Niko.
Both hotels have been designed by Spanish firms Beades Architects and Cuarto Interior, and will normally operate seasonally from June through mid-October.
They have launched preview opening offers that include up to 25% off room reservations, €50 daily restaurant and bar credit, as well as daily breakfast.
The hotels are launching in partnership with Grupo Azul Mar Cala Llonga, owned by Apollo, and join Ennismore’s growing pipeline of 144 hotels. Formed in 2021, Ennismore is a joint venture with Accor, which holds a majority shareholding.
Hyde Lounge opened in 2005 in Los Angeles and has since expanded to include Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences in Miami, Hollywood and Dubai, with further upcoming openings in London, Mazatlan in Mexico, and Hoi An in Vietnam.
Following recent openings in Mexico City, Cannes and Singapore, Mondrian is in global expansion mode and will add further hotels in Hong Kong and Bordeaux, as well as Australia, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Tulum.
