Eco-conscious 1 Hotel Mayfair open for bookings

The nine-storey, 181-room property in Berkeley Street overlooks Green Park and is close to Mayfair’s galleries, the boutiques of Bond Street and The Royal Academy.

Promising “a fusion of sustainability and luxury” the hotel has redeveloped an existing building, using reclaimed and recycled materials where possible and adding solar panels and living walls.

A further two floors have been built on top to accomodate 35 of the total 44 suites. These will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor spaces with views of Green Park.

The double-height Green Park Penthouse Suite is claimed to be the largest one-bedroom suite in Mayfair and can be further expanded to two or three bedrooms. It features a wrap-around terrace accessed via retractable sliding doors.

Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers will oversee the hotel’s Dovetale restaurant. There will also be a cocktail bar and a cafe.

Plants and nature-inspired paintings will feature throughout the accommodation.
