Elegant Resorts is rolling out a new “Elegant Price Promise” to give consumer confidence a boost and generate new interest in bookings.
The operator said the new initiative would act as a “guarantee that clients will pay the best possible price” for their holiday accommodation when making a new booking before 31 July this year.
“We continue our pursuit to bring clients luxury holidays with peace of mind during this unprecedented time,” said managing director Lisa Fitzell. “We want clients to book travel with confidence and rest assured they’re in safe hands with us.”
Elegant Resorts will work specifically with 75 hotels and cruises on the promise, she said, guaranteeing the accommodation price “will not be superseded or improved at any point before departure”, otherwise the operator will honour the difference.
Elegant Resorts has also said clients can cancel holidays up to 14 days before departure for any booking made before 30 September for travel from 1 October 2020 until 31 December 2021.
Fitzell said every client due to travel before the end of June had been contacted to reschedule, rearrange, or cancel their holidays, and added she had been “overwhelmed by how many clients have opted to make amendments to their travel plans rather than cancel, helping many businesses across in the industry”.
“We’re anticipating lower capacity on flights, less room availability at hotels and - as a result of these requirements - a rise in luxury holiday prices,” she warned, but hoped the new Price Promise would ensure this did not happen with those partners taking part in the promotion.
Until 31 July, Elegant Resorts is also donating £100 to NHS Charities Together for every booking made, via travel agents or direct.
