Four Seasons has started construction on a 31-storey property in Taipei, which is slated to open in the next few years.
Four Seasons Hotel Taipei will be located in the Xinyi District, directly opposite to Taipei 101, one of the most iconic skyscrapers in Asia and one of the tallest towers in the world. The hotel is expected to attract leisure and business travellers as Taipei 101 is one of the city’s top tourist attractions, housing high-end shopping, art galleries and a raft of businesses, alongside the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation.
The hotel will offer 260 rooms with city and mountain views. Dining venues will include a high-end Chinese restaurant, a destination bar, specialty restaurant, all-day restaurant, pool bar and lobby lounge. The 180 metre tall property will also feature an executive club lounge, a fitness centre with an outdoor pool and spa, alongside meeting and event spaces. Architecture firm RSHP will oversee the design.
Bart Carnahan, president of global business development and portfolio management, said: “Taipei has long been a target destination for Four Seasons as we look to expand our presence in Asia’s most important cities. This project will be a destination of choice in Taipei for both locals and travellers, combining thoughtful design, world-class restaurants and bars, and of course personalised service by incredible Four Seasons people.”
Construction is underway and in a statement the brand said it “is anticipated to be complete in a few years’ time.”
