The brand manages Heritage Le Telfair, Heritage Awali and Heritage The Residences. The new positioning is centred around “Heritage Resorts Crafts Memorable Journeys Inspired by Nature”.

A spokesperson said: “It’s based on five pillars - nature, golf, culinary art, kindness and reconnection inspired by Heritage’s natural and cultural legacy.” They said the brand wanted to be known as one “that offers genuine and authentic escapes, designed to inspire today’s cultured travellers, millennials and global citizens”.

Axelle Mazery, chief communications officer, said the new direction was influenced by reports from brands including Skift, Black Tomato and McKinsey & Company, which highlight that travellers want holidays “filled with big moments and exceptional encounters.”

She continued: “The modern and cultured traveller is now, more than ever, looking forward to new ways of discovering, living the moment, new ways of seeing and new ways of being. In this line of thought, predictions show that people are aspiring to simple pleasures such an embracing family gathering, but not within the confines of their homes but striking out for new shores and new sights.

“Travellers are looking for off-the-beaten track, transformative travel, special moments with people, communities and in nature. It’s all about huge, impactful encounters.”

The new website at heritageresorts.mu has a more simplified design, with new content, an improved search functionality and can now be easily viewed on mobile devices. It is also faster to use and easier to navigate, while technology from Google, Triptease and Meta have been integrated to help personalise content for users.

Mazery added: “This new website will play a key role in Heritage Resorts’ aim to unveil its offering and new series of transformational experiences. With the aim to inspire travelling once again, through its website Heritage Resorts celebrates its region’s beautiful escapes that connect deeply with the soul of the destination, setting the scene for unforgettable journeys.”
