The Berkeley Beach Huts will launch from 12 April – the permitted date for outdoor dining to commence as part of the release from lockdown – at the hotel on Wilton Place.

The huts follow the hotel’s sell-out success last summer when it created The Garden, a completely new terrace dining option. This year, the inspiration is "Britain’s most iconic and foodie seafronts including Whitstable, Southwold and Padstow".

There will be five rainbow-coloured beach huts, which can seat up to six people each, along with countertop and terrace dining. The menu will feature a range of seaside and retro options, including seafood platters and fresh oysters as well as "five star fish and chips" and desserts like "make your own Eton Mess" and Gourmet 99 ice cream cones, along with special one-off drinks.

The Berkeley Beach Huts will be open Monday-Sunday from 7.30-10.30am for breakfast, and from noon for all-day dining until late (last sitting 9.30pm).

In line with government guidelines, the six people dining at the huts can be from different households due to the outdoor location, bookings at berkeleybeachhuts@the-berkeley.co.uk
