Hyatt Hotels is to bring six properties in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland into management and franchise agreements.
The additions are part of Hyatt’s pledge to “significantly expand” its European presence by the end of 2023.
The new properties include ll Tornabuoni in Florence, which will join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. The boutique 62-room hotel is expected to open next month and will be the first Hyatt-branded property in Florence.
Rome’s Tribune Hotel, just off the Via Veneto, is expected to join JdV by Hyatt, bringing the Hyatt brand to the Italian capital. The 52-room property is also expected to open in October. Another JdV will open in Bordeaux in 2022. The 147-room property is a joint venture with Alboran Hotels.
In Germany, the Hyatt Centric Altstadt Hamburg will open in 2025, joining the Park Hyatt Hamburg.
The boutique hotel Rhodania in Crans-Montana is expected to join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in 2023. The 41-room hotel is located on the third tee of the Severiano Ballesteros golf course in the Alpine resort.
In Madrid, the Hyatt Regency Madrid Residences will expand on its current Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid hotel to include a residential component with 22 apartments in a new complex at Paseo de la Castellana financial centre.
The deals are in addition to the recently announced planned acquisition of Apple Leisure Group, which is expected to expand Hyatt’s European brand footprint by 60%.
