Indian Ocean brand Constance Hotels has expanded its portfolio in Mauritius to include new boutique property Constance Sakoa Boutik Mauritius, as well as adding two hotels on the Mauritian island of Rodrigues.
On an island known for large beach resorts, Constance Sakoa Boutik Mauritius has just 16 rooms, and is close to Trou aux Biches beach.
In its first foray to the island of Rodrigues, 350 miles to the east of Mauritius, the hotel group has added Constance Tekoma Rodrigues to its collection, featuring 32 rooms with private terraces and open-air bath tubs. The self-styled ‘lodge’ sits beside a white-sand beach with facilities including a swimming pool, restaurant, bar and spa.
The group has also expanded its sister lifestyle brand C Hotels with the opening of C Rodrigues – Mourouk following an extensive remodel of the existing beach property to the south-east of the island. The hotel now has 65 rooms and two villas alongside a beach club offering activities such as kite-surfing.
“Venturing into Rodrigues represents an extraordinary journey into a rare and exceptional destination. This captivating island, with its preserved natural beauty and cultural richness, serves as the perfect backdrop for our distinct brands, Constance Hotels & Resorts and C Resorts,” said Constance Hotels’ chief executive Jean-Jacques Vallet. “With this expansion, we proudly mark our presence on five islands in the Indian Ocean, increasing our portfolio to a total of 11 unique hotels.”
